Many of these inlays looked like someone used a dremel or similar tool and their hand wandered too much. We're used to having near perfect routing when it's done by machine. By far the problem with the inlays was the biggest distraction. Made in China, the only faults I could find were areas of filler around the inlays and a few of the tuner screws on the back of the peghead were not fastened all the way. The color was a solid black so I could not get a better idea about the quality of the wood. Even the pickups sounded surprisingly good.
I was actually surprised by the quality and how well it played.
Also note, this model is made in Japan, which is comparable to lower end of RLG models made in China. In picture-perfect clean and clear condition, no wear / damage / dings / oxidation, it stays still shiny and impeccable. Today I visited him and played an SG Standard copy made by Burny. Showcasing here is a hardly touched, literally mint, Burny RLG-85. I have a friend who owns a guitar store in Taiwan.
